When a user installs a Windows Store package, Windows prepares storage (settings and file folders) that the package’s app can write to and read from on behalf of the user. This video shows your app can persist data into this storage and how to make that data automatically roam across all of a user’s PCs. The storage is shared and accessible to all apps that run as part of the package, which makes it particularly useful if the package includes any background tasks.
