Windows 8 features a brand new API called WinRT that underlies Windows Store apps. This session provides a working introduction to WinRT, to the Windows Store app model, and to the languages and UI platforms that WinRT supports. It also speaks to some of Microsoft's motivations for introducing the Windows Store app model.
