Description

This session covers the Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services server role, and how the Active Directory works and how it is structured. We’ll explore domains, trees, forests and domain controllers. We’ll demonstrate the various Active Directory administrative tools and then take a look at the LDAP objects and Active Directory schema. Along the way, we’ll look at why you might extend a single domain forest into a multi-domain tree and multi-tree forest, and we’ll explore how domain controllers replicate. Finally, we’ll add the Active Directory Schema tool and check out the classes and attributes that make up the schema. This is an introductory session, and will build the foundation for subsequent specific Active Directory topics.
