HTML5 includes three file APIs: the File API, the FileWriter API, and the FileSystem API. The first is widely supported by browser vendors, while the latter two are recent additions to the HTML5 family for which browser support is still developing. Learn all about these APIs and, more importantly, how to write HTML5 apps that access the local file system as well as virtual file systems.
