Description

The built-in layout containers in Android do a great job of trying to resize and flow content based on available space, but if you want to customize the UI for different form factors, you will quickly find them lacking. That's what this session addresses: how to create alternative layouts so your UI looks great on every device it runs on, regardless of screen size. In addition, you'll learn how to use qualifiers to load resources, how to subdivide your UI using fragments, and how to create menu items in the Action Bar for app options that aren't part of the primary UI.
